Trade Fabrication Systems (TFS) made a splash with the launch of its TradeCoat SuperDeco, a lacquer process which turns OSB into a decorative panel suitable for floors and wall applications.

The factory-applied process has a range of applications, including a final floor surface, which is particularly suitable for social housing and student accommodation or, when applied as a peel-off film, it provides a protective coating during the build process, the company said.

TradeCoat SuperDeco can also be applied to wall panels in situations where a durable finish is required, such as commercial premises, hotels, leisure facilities and temporary structures at concert arenas.

“Our core competency is taking commodity timber products and adding factory-applied finishes to meet specific customer needs,” said general manager Howard Morris.

He added that TFS received “a considerable number” of leads and enquiries at the show.

“There was interest in our timber processes, coatings and films from merchants through to architects and developers. As a result of such a positive experience we will definitely consider attending next year,” he said.
