The growth of Sydenhams Ltd’s Timber Direct business has led the company to add a DAF three-axle rigid truck to its 38-strong vehicle fleet.

The FAS CF75 6×2 truck is transporting timber imported from the Baltic through the Port of Poole to the Bournemouth-based company’s 10 branches, as well as making direct deliveries to customers.

Company transport manager Robert Short said the trailing axle six-wheeler provides a strong yet light platform on which to fit a light body capable of achieving a payload of 16 tonnes.
