UK dealers of Kundig wide-belt and edge-sanding machines have completed a product awareness tour in Switzerland.
Representatives from A12 Machinery, Allied Machinery, Technical Engineering Services and AL Dalton were led by Kundig’s Ltd’s Carl O’Meara in the three-day visit to Kundig’s principal manufacturing plant in Wetzikon.
The trip also included a visit to kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture manufacturer Furrer AG of nearby Wila, where the group saw a Kundig triple-belt machine, designed for cross-belt sanding, being demonstrated.
Kundig technical manager Stephan Kundig and sales manager Gerald Krebs conducted seminars on wide-belt and edge-sanding, and provided technical information on Kundig solutions to typical problems.
Other discussions covered various aspects of calibrating, finishing, veneer sanding and the company’s most recent development, oblique sanding, where the process is carried out in the shear plane.
Mr O’Meara said information and background knowledge gathered during the trip would enable UK dealers to approach customers with confidence and increased product awareness when recommending Kundig sanders.
