More than 20 leads from the UK and “hard orders” were reported by Masterwood UK managing director Russell Corlett at this year’s show.

The company used Ligna to launch five new CNC machining centres for the panel and timber processing markets.

Top of the bill was the Project 315, nicknamed the “Super Speedy”, a panel processing machine described by Masterwood as the most economical entry-level CNC with such a high specification on the market.

For the joinery sector, the Project 415 has been designed with a pod tubeless system or a 3600x1250mm bed for nesting. An “L” version of the 415 represents the first time a long base unit has been available at entry-level price.

Other equipment included the Project 523, available in a four-axis version, featuring a time-saving numerically controlled automatic table described by Mr Corlett as “another major step forward in killing downtime”.
