A tailor-made version of Striebig’s vertical panel saw is helping B&Q to provide in-store cutting services.
So far Leicester-based TM Machinery Sales Ltd has supplied 139 Striebig Econom IIA models to B&Q branches nationwide, with more due to be delivered at newly-opened stores during 2003.
The Econom IIA has a maximum cut size of 3300x2060mm, an 80mm cut depth and incorporates a 4hp motor and automatic moving support frame.
Additional features have been built in to provide for the speedy cutting of small work pieces as well as heavy items such as kitchen worktops.
TM Machinery is also providing B&Q with a guaranteed next-day spares and service back-up and carries out bi-annual services.
Striebig vertical panel saws are available from £7,500 upwards.
