Bagpress, of Letchworth, said the saw incorporates an optional digital measuring system and replaces an elderly vertical saw that was no longer accurate.
As well as new business from a kitchen manufacturer, the saw will also be used for dimensioning plywood parts used in frames for smaller electric vacuum presses and for cutting the supports for larger industrial models.
Bagpress produces a range of vacuum presses from smaller units for the hobbyist, schools and colleges to large industrial frame presses for cabinet makers and industrial woodworkers.
Managing director Darren King said: “By using the digital read-out, we don’t have to check components after they come off the saw or manually trim them to get them right.”
