The machine is targeted at the window and door manufacturer and companies cutting beams, edge glued panels and furniture components. It offers length and yield priority options, has electronically adjusted feed speed and is PC compatible.

“We see a lot of applications for the KP900 in the UK,” said Justin Peckham, managing director of Stori Mantel UK representative Woodtech Machinery. “It has faster feed speed than the previous model and a very user friendly control system.”

Stori Mantel, he added, is now raising its export profile.

“They used to make machines under other badges, but are focusing more on their brand,” he said. “People used to view eastern European machinery as lower-tech, but that’s not the case. Stori Mantel is the modern Skoda of wood machinery. Build quality is as good as the western competition.”
