The first “Rack Clad Warehouse” in the UK has been constructed at Kent-based kitchen manufacturer Stoneham plc.
A team from German specialists OHRA travelled to England to instal the warehouse which consists of racking systems forming the structure of the building which is then clad with a weatherproof and durable “skin”.
The system, which will be used for the storage of sheet material including MFC and MDF, can be dismantled and moved should Stoneham ever decide to relocate.
OHRA also constructed a single-sided row of racking to the exterior of one of the existing buildings. This has been weatherproofed with a four-piece 20m long curtain, a roof and end panels.
