German softboard specialist Steico saw Interbuild as a key element of its major marketing push into UK construction.
The company was highlighting the full range of its products, including its Steicojoist I-joists, targeted for use in flooring and roofs, and its Steicowall I-joist- based system for walls which can be supplied ready-insulated.
Alongside, Steico featured its range of flexible and rigid roof and wall insulation, based variously on wood fibre and hemp, its flooring insulation, renderboard and parquet and laminate acoustic underlay. It also focused on the fact that all its softboard production is FSC-certified.
Sales director Heiko Seen said that Steico saw particularly good opportunities in the UK timber frame market. “It is one of the fastest growing in Europe and we can offer it not just a wide range of proven products but also the expertise we have gained in the sector on the Continent, particularly in Germany,” he said.
