SmartPly has installed a new board marking system to provide prominent labelling on the company’s products.
The €100,000 marking set-up, which was installed on its main production line in April, provides clearer, more precise printing of details and information, including the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and SmartPly logos in large type, technical information and tracking details.
“The new improved board marking on our OSB panels will take our branding and product identification into the 21st century,” said Neil Foot, SmartPly managing director.
“The clear identification of each board we produce will be a real benefit to the entire supply chain, from the specifiers through to the client who uses our product.”
SmartPly added that the printed information also includes the precise time of production to provide end users with exact information pertaining to their board.
