Woodsource Wales, a marketing initiative by the Welsh Assembly and Forestry Commission Wales, took a stand in the Timber Zone but was disappointed with visitor numbers and the level of enquiries, said business development manager Frankie Owen.

“It’s probably a sign of the times,” she said, “but maybe there are just too many shows.”

Woodsource Wales works to raise the profile of the Welsh timber and wood products sector and works with around 80 companies, from joinery and flooring to timber frame manufacturers.
