Timber protection and decoration specialist Sikkens has made a strategic move into the UK interiors market with the launch of a new coatings range.
The Sikkens brand of interior finishes has been established in Europe for many years, but last week at London’s Savoy Hotel, representatives of the architectural, design and decorator press were presented with the company’s new range of finishes including opaques, translucents, special effects and textures.
The range, which Sikkens’ Italian marketing manager Pino Milana describes as “very specifier oriented”, will be supported by “brand-building distribution”. UK marketing manager Liz Richards said that an internet ordering facility would enable specifiers to order samples online and, in addition, a further 40-45 Sikkens centres would be rolled out this year.
Sikkens’ new products will be officially launched at the Surface Design Show on March 1-2 and will then be available through merchants.
