Five online self reload staplers from BeA Fastening Systems Ltd have helped Moores Furniture Group automate the assembly of its kitchen, bathroom and bedroom furniture.
The K92/18-25 self reload tools, which replace manual fastening of units, have been installed on five Ligmatech presses at the Moores’ Wetherby factory.
Moores says its output has been dramatically increased due to the 400-staple loading capacity of the tools. The K92 staplers fasten hardboard to back panels of units which have been clamped together by the Ligmatechs.
The tools accept 18-25mm staples and have a fastening rate of five staples per second.
