Interior fit-out specialist Peter Craig UK has invested in a second Striebig vertical panel saw for sizing of panel products.
The Edinburgh company, which boasts customers including Goldsmiths, Gortex and British Trust Hotels, bought a 6m-long Striebig Control 6224 for cutting MDF, plywood and other sheet material, as well as hardwood used as battens.
“It’s a very versatile saw that we can use with both softwood panels and hardwood components,” said Scott MacDonald, the company’s commercial manager.
“Although we originally bought it as a replacement, we have decided to keep the older saw on as a back-up, which will be a big advantage in busy periods.”
The Control can handle panels up to a maximum size of 5300 x 2240mm and has a cutting depth of 80mm.
