Neil Emsley will join SCA Timber Supply at Stoke-on-Trent on February 1 in the newly-created position of operations director.
Mr Emsley has operations and logistics experience from across industry including most recently from a major retail brand.
Board-level responsibilities at SCA Timber Supply will now comprise: Anders Ek, chairman; Rob Simpson, managing director and sales and marketing director, Stoke sales; Stephen King, sales and marketing director, mill sales; Alan Mills, finance director, and Mr Emsley, operations director, whose responsibilities will include warehouse, production, transport and procurement activities.
John Blake and Andrew Garner left the company in December.
