Södra president and CEO Anders Wahrolén is to retire in mid-May. He will be succeeded by Leif Brodén, currently president of Södra’s largest business area Södra Cell.

Chairman Lars-Eric Åström said: “Anders Wahrolén has done a magnificent job during his years at Södra. This includes producing four strong annual accounts. With his holistic view, he has very successfully developed the Association and its subsidiaries. Anders Wahrolén has emphasised and driven the issues of leadership and competence development which are so important for Södra.”

Mr Brodén was previously marketing director within Stora Enso and president of Scanpac Australia Pty Ltd. He was appointed president of Södra Cell in 1999.
