UK woodworking machinery agent RW Woodmachines has established a subsidiary to head a network of European distributors for the Taiwan-based manufacturer Anderson.

Anderson hopes Bicester-based RW Woodmachines, which has been selling its technology in Britain for some years, can translate its UK success into increased sales on mainland Europe.

The subsidiary, RW Europe, is appointing distributors in nine countries: France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Croatia.

RW Woodmachines sales director Brian Thomson said: “We are buying in dollars and the dollar is presently weak against the pound, the euro and other European currencies. It means that we have a quality product that provides remarkable value for money – just as it does in the UK.”

Anderson Europe, a separate organisation based in Germany, will continue to deal with Anderson sales in all German-speaking countries, as well as Poland. It will also handle five-axis CNC machines.
