Romeo Cyr is to retire from JD Irving Ltd after 47 years’ service. Sales manager Mr Cyr, who began his career working on the harsh winter log drives (floating logs downriver to sawmills) in Canada, was responsible for marketing the 2.6 million m3 of Irving softwood production, including exports of eastern white pine to the UK.
