The robot was linked to a New Zealand-made Vector edgebander, making its first UK show appearance, and an Anderson Router – all of which was available as a £225,000 package deal.

RW’s managing director David Thompson-Rowlands said 60-70% of enquiries at the company’s stand were potential new customers, which, he said, proved the effectiveness of the show organisers’ marketing efforts. In all he expected about £1m worth of business at W6.

RW’s other exhibits include Shark edgebanders, an Orma membrane press featuring a pin system table and cardboard box-making technology.
