A purpose-built structure is being erected on site to house the two moulding lines, which will be able to process up to 100m/min. Building work gets under way this month, with machines being commisioned at the end of 2007.

The expansion, part of a £4.6m investment programme by Ridgeons, is designed to meet growing merchant business within the group and to service timber sales outside it’s traditional East Anglian heartland.

“The complete package from one supplier including handling, tool room, control and monitoring is a great benefit,” said Mike Cammick, the company’s divisional director.
