The order, the single largest contract in Raute’s history, has been placed by Vjatsky Fanernyi Kombinat, a new player in the plywood production sector.

Machinery and production lines will be delivered to the facility in the Kirov area in late 2007.

The mill, scheduled for start up in 2008, will have an annual production capacity of about 90,000m3 of birch plywood.

Raute said the contract confirms the company’s position as a leading global technology supplier of mill-scale projects to the plywood industry.
