Cheshire mouldings has been busy of late launching new products, an e-commerce website and a reward scheme for buyers.

The initiatives from the northwest-based manufacturer are designed to help customers have a smooth and trouble-free buying experience and reward them for loyalty to its products, which include stairparts, decking, mouldings, internal doors, joinery and stair cladding.

The new range of products is aimed at providing a one-stop solution for installers and comprises four internal door designs, all with oak veneer, and complementary skirting and architraves.

The four door designs – Mexican Full Boarded, Cheshire Four Panel Shaker, Modernus Five Panel and Cheshire Four Panel – are available in a range of sizes and as a fire door.

The new range of complementary skirting and architraves is made from solid oak and are available in four styles – Long Chamfer and Chamfered Architrave and Skirting are suited to traditional doors and walls while the Bullnose Single Edge Skirting and Architrave set feature intricate detailing for a more contemporary feel.

“All these products have been designed with the installer in mind, to ensure they have a one-stop solution for all joinery requirements, combining large quantities of stock with fast delivery for shorter lead times,” the company said.

Customers buying the new range, and in fact any of Cheshire Mouldings’ products, will be able to take advantage of the company’s new Cheshire Rewards incentive scheme.

Customers who become a Cheshire Rewards member can earn four points for every £1 spent on purchases made on the new e-commerce website via Cheshire Mouldings’ stockists. The points collected can be cashed in for money off future online purchases.

The scheme is open to installers, builders, joiners, property developers and architects. Members will receive their own personal account via a dedicated installer section of the new website. There are also online resources including product guides and technical training with step-by-step videos, detailed technical specifications and technical planning.

“The scheme has been launched in conjunction with our e-commerce website, which enables customers to purchase our products more quickly and easily through our online stockists,” said managing director John Carney.

New e-commerce website

Cheshire Mouldings said the launch of the new e-commerce website supports its national merchant network and is designed to ensure merchants capitalise on the continued growth of the online stairparts and timber market. The platform basically provides stockists with the ability to reach new audiences.

The idea is that by becoming an approved Cheshire partner, merchants can increase sales with minimum effort, as customers choose a specific stockist at the checkout dependent on their postcode, or through a manual search. Cheshire Mouldings will then pick, pack and deliver the product, taking the item from its own stock at its Cheshire headquarters.

For every purchase made, the selected merchant will receive a percentage of the sale as commission, which will be delivered into their trade account 30 days after the sale has been completed.

Mr Carney is excited about the initiative’s potential, citing the £201bn-plus worth of online sales in Britain last year.

“We are dedicated to helping independent merchants, both regionally and nationally, maximise on these digital sales by providing them with the opportunity to sell to customers through platforms they previously wouldn’t have been able to,” he said.

“This is what makes the postcode tool on our website so important, as customers can purchase the necessary products from their local merchant, benefiting both parties.”

The mobile and tablet friendly site is designed to support the popular trade section of the Cheshire Mouldings website, which is accessed by merchants and other trade outlets.
