Andrew East of East Brothers (Timber) Ltd is cycling from Greenwich to Paris between September 2-5 in aid of the Royal British Legion as part of this year’s fund-raising programme.
Around 200 riders are due to take part in the grueling 277-mile ride which culminates at the Champs Elysees.
“Those members of the timber trade who have been contacted have been wonderfully supportive,” said Mr East.
Anyone who wishes to sponsor the bike ride should send a cheque made payable to the Royal British Legion to Andrew East at East Brothers (Timber) Ltd, The Sawmills. West Dean, Salisbury, SP5 1JA.
