Chris Pateman has joined the Builders Merchants Federation as managing director.
He is well known throughout the builders merchant industry, having spent five years as commercial director with United Merchants plc (Unimer). Prior to that, he was the long-standing editor of Builders Merchants’ Journal.
Mr Pateman, who took up his new post on January 2, said he was looking forward to working with BMF staff to ensure the federation was “a real centre of excellence for the merchant trade, providing all members with relevant and best value for money services”.
