Panel Technik (Holz-Her UK) Ltd has reconfigured its Triathlon range of edgebanders to meet door and furniture manufacturers’ need to use polyurethane (PUR) adhesives for their strong bonding and fire retardant qualities.
The Bradford-based company said its decision has been successful, with a number of leading UK door manufacturers buying the technology.
The Triathlon door specification range, available from under £50,000, can apply 25mm by 66m high wood edging to doors, increasing production rate to one door per minute. The Accord machinery range also offers manufacturers a PUR solution.
Holz-Her edgebanders utilise the 1905 Multi-system, featuring a closed flat nozzle design for large lipping production without the need for additional off-board melt units.
