There were no signs of a recession at SCM Group (UK) Ltd’s autumn in-house event, according to managing director Ian Brown.
He said more than 125 companies and nearly 300 people attended ‘the most successful event for five years’ in the company’s extended showroom and added: ‘Customers were in a buying mood or looking to invest, and there was something for everyone.’
Two new CNC routers, the Record 100 and the Record 130TV, were launched, with the former aimed at companies starting CNC machining.
Also on show were machines from Morbidelli, Gabbiani Macchine, DMC and IDM – all targeted at panel processors – and the Window 20 CNC window component machining centre and machines from the Minimax stable.
