Ascot Interiors has installed new fully automated CNC machinery that allows for a 10-fold increase in production.
Managing director Ian Pipes said: ‘In the past, our top of the range doors have been imported from France. This new facility means our flagship kitchens and bedrooms will now be manufactured completely in Derby.
‘We also intend to market our brand through other outlets in the UK.’
In addition to investing in the automated new technology, the Derby-based joinery company will be also be increasing its workforce, which has already grown recently from 20 to 28 .
