The company, which produces timber pallets, cases, crates, plywood cases and timber components, has seen its turnover boosted by 40% in the past two years, with a further 15% increase predicted by May 2013.

Recent investment in production technology has included a two-way pallet line and leg machine from IMH of Sweden. The installation, Nicklin says, has led to three new jobs and an upsurge in productivity.

The addition of Pallet Design System design software is also supporting the company’s long-term goal of designing out waste material from pallets. The software is designed to reduce costs and product damage and increase safety of pallets throughout the material handling process.

"Our organic growth over the last two years has been a fantastic result in a challenging climate; this is testament to our investment in operational capability, efficiency and people, coupled with our product and service offering," said managing director David Nicklin.
