Ney Ltd has moved all its operations under one roof in Coventry after outgrowing its old premises.

The four factory buildings at Tile Hill, the company’s base since 1999, have been swapped for a 75,000ft2 structure on the nearby Middlemarch Business Park due to rapid expansion in the past three years.

The move, which took place in October and constitutes a major investment, enables Ney to accommodate its growing workforce and expanding stock and display holdings. It gives more workshop space for machinery refurbishment and also improves internal communciations.

New facilities include a laboratory for coagulation materials, polyester lacquers and adhesives formulation and trial work with cycle simulation ovens, refrigeration and a dedicated clean room with water wash booths.

Stock holdings of adhesives, lacquers, edgebandings and foils are expanded. The 15 million linear metres of edging materials and foils in stock at any one time are likely to rise by 20% within 12 months.

Pre-coating volumes of edgings with hot melts for hot air reactivation at the point of application will also be streamlined with additional floor space for raw materials and storage.

Showrooms and demonstration facilities are bigger with improved dust and wood waste extraction facilities serving a wider range of machines.

The company says the site has convenient access to the M45, M42, M69, M6 and M1 motorways.
