With new literature, an upgraded website and the German company’s export director Ray Wolsey on hand at W10, storage racking specialist Ohra is signalling new ambition for the UK market.

“The economy has made life tough for everyone and the rise in the price of steel has made our business very competitive,” said UK technical and sales representative Robert Meadows. “But we’re increasingly confident about our prospects in the market.”

He said that Ohra’s transparency on steel prices and the steel surcharge, it and other racking suppliers have to impose, has gained it trust among customers.

“We are always open with people about steel price trends so they know exactly what they’re going to be charged and can budget accordingly,” said Mr Meadows.

He added that on the show’s opening day, Ohra had been visited by a “lot of carpenters and joiners”.
