Flatpack furniture producer the Licentia Group has installed a £750,000 Ligmatech packaging line at its Yorkshire factory.
The line, supplied by Homag UK, can pack, label and distribute up to 10 boxes of flat-packed furniture per minute for multiples such as IKEA and Argos.
It retrieves and folds cardboard carton material before delivering the open boxes to a moving packing line. The boxes are sealed, labelled and passed to a delivery station where a robot stacker distributes the packed cartons to a delivery station for collection by motorised trolley.
