Simon Bamford has been appointed the new ceneral manager of Southampton Free Trade Zone, ABP Connect’s warehousing facility at Associated British Ports‘ Port of Southampton. SFTZ, one of five free trade zones in the UK, enables importers to defer payment on imported goods until they are moved out of the compound.
Mr Bamford joined ABP Connect in January 2003 as operations manager for ABP Connect’s Cardiff Cold Store after holding a number of positions in the warehouse and distribution sector since joining the industry as a graduate
