After painstaking research into different techniques and machinery, furniture manufacturer Pinetum opted for a MultiSander from Abacon to get the perfect finish.
Production director Richard Robbins said investment in the machine at the company’s 37,000ft2 factory at Warminster had resulted in time and labour savings and increased consistency and quality of finish.
And because the MultiSander is compact it can be deployed anywhere in the workshop and used as required for any size production run.
Mr Robbins said: “It’s a great machine and gives us an excellent finish especially when we’re denibbing shaped parts with awkward angles and complex profiles.”
The MultiSander is one of many designs and configurations that will drive a spindle to support the SlipCon brush sanding system.
Abacon has developed a test and demonstration facility at its Sheffield factories where a variety of MultiSanders are on show alongside finishing machines from Löwer of Germany.
