Christie Timber Services Ltd has recorded a marked improvement in its production since installing a new Weinig Powermat 400 moulder.
The machinery investment forms part of the firm’s recently opened £1.5m factory in Bo’ness, Scotland, where it is in operation alongside two existing Weinig model
It forms a key part of the company’s drive to increase its current £3.5m turnover and is the first step in upgrading its tooling equipment.
“The new Powermat is already showing a 20% improved output from the existing machines, and with further investments in tooling, this performance can only be expected to improve,” said Les Hogarth, production manager at Christie.
