In response to modern weight, design and insulation requirements, Pfleiderer Industrie subsidiary Moralt has increased its range of door blanks.

Most have a laminboard core which means that, unlike blockboard, the wood is cut and glued so that the grain all runs the same way, resisting wood’s tendency to bow following conversion.

The 5mm core laths are dovetailed and glued for additional stability, and the door blanks can be faced with hardwood veneer, plywood, MDF or Duropal high pressure laminate.
