Garden and landscaping timber products supplier M&M Timber Co Ltd has installed an automated wood trellis panel assembly machine to help meet heavy demand from the retail industry.

The system from Swindon-based Young Black Industrial Stapling Ltd is capable of assembling up to 750 panels a day, more than doubling normal trellis panel output at M&M Timber’s Clows Top site near Kidderminster.

M&M managing director Nigel Poyner said: “We now have the capacity to meet the normally challenging high volume contracts on time and without any compromise on quality control.”

The machine assembles and fastens square-cut wooden trellis panels, which undergo an Osmose pressure treatment.
