Metso Panelboard has won an order worth more than €10m to supply a continuous particleboard production line to Slovenian board manufacturer Lesna Tip Otiski Vrh.
Once operational in early 2006, the new 330,000m3 capacity line will have the biggest particleboard production output in Slovenia and the former Yugloslavian region. Lesna’s total investment in technology will be €20m.
Metso will supply the Sentjanz pri Drawograd plant with equipment and automation for the main production line, including dry flake silos and pressing line, from this autumn. ClassiFormer forming machines and the 32m-long Metso Contipress will be used for continuous pressing.
Lesna, which uses different wood species for raw material, will close down its old press on commissioning of the new line.
