Metso Panelboard is supplying the main equipment for a chipboard production line for Novopan del Ecuador SA, in Quito, Ecuador which is scheduled for start-up in the first half of 2007.
Metso will supply a gluing system with a flake metering and resin blending system, ClassiFormer forming stations, a Metso Contipress, and the press outfeed and process automation systems.
The raw material will consist of a mixture of eucalyptus and pine. Production capacity will be 400m3 a day.
The order brings the number of Metso Contipresses supplied to Latin America to eight.
