A 12ft-wide OSB production line from Dieffenbacher, which is capable of producing 600m2 a year, has been installed at Meadow Lake OSB, Canada.
The line has several features which help improve board quality and reduce cost.
The 12ft-wide press closes and compresses extremely fast with the use of jack rams, piston accumulators in the hydraulics and proportional valves in the controls. It is equipped with a special steam venting feature which makes the press technology less sensitive against fluctuations in the mat and raises the capacity.
