Wood-based panels manufacturer Kunz-Holding has begun operations at its first European MDF plant in Baruth, Brandenburg.
The factory is designed for a daily capacity of 1,000m3 and currently it is operating at between 60% and 70% of that figure .
The plant uses byproducts from the neighbouring Klenk Holz AG sawmill which are delivered via a direct conveyor.
High, medium and low density fibreboards are produced, mainly for use in the interior building and furniture manufacture markets.
Dieffenbacher supplied equipment for the drying area, screening, gluing, forming station, forming line, pre-press and CPS press system, raw board transport, process control and pneumatic conveying system and steel construction.
