Wood composite decking was the new product on display for MBM Specialty Forest Products.
The product, which is 65% wood fibre and 35% recycled plastic, is made by MBM’s supplier of Thermowood, Finland-based Lunawood.
Production started this year, with Lunawood using wood waste from its operations to manufacture the product.
Currently, Lunawood decking is available in brown and graphite grey but lighter colours will be produced in the future.
Lunawood told TTJ that Lunawood Thermowood volumes had grown every year. It is expanding the Lunawood products range into windows scantlings and door frames.
