The focus of the Martin stand was the Ligna launch of its new T92 series of “high performance through-feed moulders”.

The new design is all direct drive, a major benefit to the operator according to Martin’s Michael Mühldorfer.

“Having no belt drive reduces, vibration, wear problems and maintenance,” he said.

The T92 starts with a four-spindle model and progresses through different six-spindle versions for joiners and sawmills and window makers, up to a seven-spindle model for “all types of planing and profiling work”.

“To add to the versatility of the range, we can also offer the option of variable spindle speeds,” said Mr Mühldorfer.

Targeted at the “industrial/ crafts workshop” upwards and available via Homag UK, the T92 starts at e65000.

“And it is entirely designed and made in Germany,” stressed Mr Mühldorfer.
