Costing more than £600,000, the investment will help Lawcris celebrate its 25th birthday by “improving the reliability and quality of our delivery service”, according to the firm’s marketing manager Hal Eccles.

The vehicles range in size from 7.5-tonne lorries to 27-tonne models, although Lawcris has also said that it is set to add a second 44-tonne artic vehicle to its fleet.

An additional 18 forklift trucks have been bought by Lawcris, helping the company manage and move the 400 tonnes of materials it handles every day.

Managing director Simon Hall said: “Ongoing investment at this level is vital if we are to maintain our market leading position.”
