The addition of Siemens motors and electric braking on all models was the news on German moulder manufacturer Kuper’s stand.

Kuper, whose machines are sold in the UK through Daltons Wadkin, demonstrated its entry-level model, the SWT 23 XS, through to the top-end SWT 23 HL for large companies with high volumes. The machines can produce furniture parts, profiles, planed goods, plus window and door scantlings, among other items.

The Siemens motors were introduced in response to motor energy efficiency regulations.

The larger SWT 23 XLS model can feature up to eight work spindles, with two additional universal spindles and a typical feed speed of 80m/min.

The HL model’s workpiece jointer function now has all ball-bearing supports.

Feed speeds of 150m/min are achievable on the SWT23 range.
