Kronospan UK has donated over £1,000 in sponsorship money to its local cricket club in Wales.
As part of its support for the local community, and in a bid to help further the club’s success since its promotion to the premier league, Kronospan has provided the Chirk Cricket Club with sight screens, wicket covers and practice nets.
Club secretary Dave Kelshaw said Kronospan had always been a regular sponsor over the years. “Promotion to the premier league this season has meant we have faced many additional costs,” he said. “Maintaining a cricket facility is expensive so Kronospan’s generosity is much appreciated.”
Mike Mckenna said: “Chirk’s Cricket Club is a key part of the community here. Many young people in the village enjoy the sport and we are glad to be able to help with improving the facilities here. We shall be watching the team’s progress with great interest.”
