A Dumbarton-based scenery maker is using a Koolkut vertical panel saw to build scenes for TV and film production companies.

J&B Scenery chose a Koolkut KK16, sourced from Silchester-based Sagetech Industries Ltd, to replace its existing table saw.

James Baxter, proprietor of J&B Scenery, said: “A table saw requires significantly more space than a vertical panel saw as you have to allow room on both sides for sheet feeding, and of course the accuracy of the cut is limited by the skill of the operators.”

The company is using the KK16 to cut plywood and MDF.

Prices for the Koolkut range start at £2,995.
