The introduction of a Hoffmann MU2 keyway routing machine is giving Aldershot-based Kestrel Joinery off-line assembly benefits to be able to secure major contracts.

The machine has assembled moulded frames to be applied to more than 1,200 oak panels for a new hotel and conference suite contract. It allows the company to keep the work in-house to control quality, production timing and costs.

Jointing of pre-assembled glazing frames for visual apertures on fire-rated doorsets has also been completed on the Hoffmann.
