More than 150 installers, distributors, merchants and renovation specialists attended Junckers new oil and lacquer training days held at the company’s Witham-based training centre in May.
Run over five days, the training included hands-on demonstrations on abrasive sanding and applying oils and lacquers as well as technical briefings on new sports flooring systems and the forthcoming CEN (European Committee for Standardisation) standards.
Junckers’ technical department head Steve Maltby said a “workshop” quickly developed with professionals pooling their experience. “It was a great atmosphere. Everyone has commented on how much they gained – both from working with us and from meeting each other.”
Further oil and lacquer and hardwood flooring courses are being planned nationwide, with key locations to include Ireland and the north of England.
