Woodworking hand tool specialists Craig Poynton and Nick Brown have teamed up to establish a distributive outlet for products to service the craftsman joinery and woodworking sectors.
And they aim to recruit another 20 stockists to build a national network of around 50 outlets across the UK and Ireland.
Operating from a new warehouse at Weycroft Industrial estate in Axminster, Devon, Jet Tools & Machinery Ltd has already assembled bulk inventory stocks covering 15,000 product items.
These include bench mounted and floorstanding woodworking machinery from Walter Meir Holdings Group, wood and panel hand tools, gluing systems and laminate trimmers by Lamello, wood glues from Titebond and machinery from CMT of Italy and Creusen.
The company aims to launch another 20 products in the UK and Ireland before the end of the year, many of which will feature in a new woodworking television series – The Great British Woodshop – scheduled to be aired in January 2004.
