UK joinery giant JELD-WEN UK Ltd has brought out a modular training manual to cut through “joinery jargon”.
The publication, “Getting to know JELD-WEN and our products”, is designed to be used in conjunction with the company’s latest catalogue and allows merchants to learn about joinery at their own pace. It has information on anything from choosing the correct products for different uses, to how to specify fire doors.
After completing exercises in the nine-stage manual, users can send in their answers for evaluation, with the opportunity of becoming a “JELD-WEN Joinery Champion”, qualified to give advice on joinery products and their use.
The company already holds bespoke training days for merchants and distributors.
